Menu Ledro returns with "the beautiful vitellottes". The restaurants in Valle di Ledro will delight you with delicious and colorful menus! Rich of potassium, fiber, vitamins and mineral salts, antioxidant and anti-aging thanks to anthocyanins, literally "save health". Only purple. And above all tasty. It is the vitellotte, the tuber originally from the Andes that has found a perfect habitat in Valle di Ledro, a region of Trentino located a few kilometers from Lake Garda with exceptional environmental characteristics, that it was included by UNESCO in the Biosphere Reserve project.
The vitellotte will be the great protagonist of the gastronomic proposal of Purple Menù Ledro , marking the entrance in autumn, the season of a thousand colors and multiple mutations. The particular color of this potato will be the leitmotif of the weekend in which the restaurants of Ledro Valley will propose a menu dedicated to the purple color and the characteristic potato, cultivated and used since the past centuries by the inhabitants of the Valle di Ledro for the preparation of the famous polenta of potatoes, colored soups and dumplings. Thanks to this gastronomic event it will be possible to discover or rediscover this potato with its full-bodied history and characterized by a range of uses that take back the tradition of this valley, giving it a renewed look, all thanks to the creativity of the chefs of Valle di Ledro. The Menu proposals also reflect a strong connection between restaurateur and producer, a fundamental link to keep the cooking practice alive at 0 km. The economy of Ledro Valley and cuisine have always been merged with the surrounding territory, and this Menu is proof of this thanks to the variety of raw materials that Valle di Ledro offers: vegetables, fruits, honey, saffron (yellow gold is also grown in Valle di Ledro!), dairy products. The products therefore allow the dishes to blend to the taste the scent of tradition and history, so present in a territory like the Valle di Ledro that on its past has been able to build its own wealth. After Purple, the potato from Valle di Ledro, the Menù Ledro will give appointment at the beginning of November (1-3 November) and December (6-8 December) with the Exodus Menu, linked to the mingling with the Bohemian culture born after the deportation of the people of Ledro during the Great War.
