Bartolomeo in Tiarno di Sotto has been inaugurated in 2004, April 18. During the works there has been the problem of the old organ with pneumatic transmission, that the Company Inzoli from Crema (Brescia) had built in 1952 replacing the previous one with mechanic transmission built by Giuseppe Bergomi of Chiari (Brescia). To keep the part of the first organs of the church, it has been decided to recover the sound box and the organ pipes of the nineteenth-century organ and the pipes of the Inzoli one, that had a symphonic line. This choice conditioned a lot the possibility to integrate the quality, the characteristic and number of the registers; of course it was very important to save harmonization and sound balance of the new organ with mechanic transmission. Thanks a careful study and the patient work of the organ builder Andrea Zeni from Tesero (Trento), it has been reached the final excellent result. The new  organ “Andrea Zeni” has 1258 pipes, 398 of which are in the Bergomi organ(1872), 373 in the Inzoli one (1952) and 487 in the Zeni one (2004). Verdi" Conservatory with A. Mozzati. He starts his concert career at 14 years old winning the La Spezia (E.N.A.L.) and the "Förster-Ricordi" national competitions. At the age of 16 he is awarded the "Liszt" prize at "Maria Canals" international competition in Barcelona and three years later the second prize at "Pozzoli" in Seregno, the first outright prize at "Città di Treviso" and at "F. P. Neglia" in Enna and the first prize at "G.B. Viotti" in Vercelli. As concert artist, he has been giving almost 1.000 concerts playing for very important concert societies and prestigious theatres (among the others: "La Scala" in Milan, "San Carlo" in Naples, "Petruzzelli" in Bari, "Regio" in Turin, "Bergamo and Brescia Festival", "Festival dei Due Mondi" in Spoleto, "Settembre Musica" in Turin, etc). He often tours all over the world and many of his performances have been Radio and TV recorded. He has been inviting to be juror of many famous competitions such as : "G.B. Viotti", "Rina Sala Gallo", "Pozzoli", "London International Piano Competition", "Concurso Internacional Compositores de España", "A.M.A. Calabria", "Città di Treviso", "F. P. Neglia", "Luciano Gante", "Tchaikovsky junior" in Kurashiki – Japan, etc. Since 1973 he has been teaching in music conservatories: he is currently piano professor at Milan "G. Verdi" Conservatory and regularly holds courses, master classes and lectures in Italy and abroad as well. Since 1984 in addition to concert and teaching careers, he has also been an untiring organizer. He has been artistic director of "Como Concert Society" and of Gravedona "Piano Master". Vincenzo Balzani is currently artistic director of the following international competitions: "Valsesia-Musica" (up to 1999 "Viotti-Valsesia"), "Monterosa-Kawai", "Città di Pavia" and "Città di Cantù".
