SOUNDS OF THE DOLOMITES

The California Guitar Trio plays at Tremalzo for the concert of the Sounds of the Dolomites
An American (Paul Richards), a Belgian (Bert Lams) and a Japanese (Hideyo Moriya) form one of the most eclectic guitar trios performing at the moment.
The three guitar virtuosos met in 1987, while attending the Guitar Craft Courses by Robert Fripp, King Crimson's legendary leader, and since then they are together.
The most recent album by California Guitar Trio is titled Trio Masterworks, ranging from Bach to Beethoven, from Schubert to Arvo Pärt, from Rossini to Vivaldi.
On the day of the concert it is possible to go on an excursion with the Trentino Mountain Guides
If bad weather prevents musicians from reaching Passo Dil, the concert will be will be held at the Centro Culturale in Locca at 21 h

HIKING PROGRAM - ALONG TORRENT MASSANGLA
Along the torrent Massangla, we go first to the old water mill and to the hidden gorge Gorg d'Abiss with waterfall. Back to the village, we take the cycle path to the small church of Santa Lucia in Pratis (14th century), which has been completely restored in 1998 and where interesting frescoes have been discovered. We walk to the village and visit the church tower of Tiarno di Sotto, the second highest in Trentino.

Along Lake Ampola, a protected area, we walk to a beehive, where thanks to the beekeepers' association of Valle di Ledro, we discover the beehive world. On the way back, before reaching the meeting point, we visit Lake Ampola.

We get organized to go up by car to the parking below Malga Trat. We start our walk and take the path called “senter de le vache” and go up to Bocca Saval, where we continue, passing along trenches of the First World War, to the top of Cima Parì. The view opens beyond the lake and mountains of Ledro, until Lake Garda and the Dolomites. Following a stretch of the “Sentiero della Pace”, we get to the Rif. Pernici nearby Bocca Trat.

Through the village centre we reach Barcesino and continue on the Way of the Cross, which ends with 74 steps, to the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, called also “Madonna of the Crutches” because people, who had leg diseases, invoked this Madonna.
We walk up to the forestry road, and on the way back we stop by a field of herbs to discover their secrets.Events

From the Rifugio we take the path that leads to Malga Guì through the green forests of Val Concei. At the malga we continue towards Bocca dell’Ussol, a pass between Valle di Ledro and Val Giudicarie, from which we can admire the whole Val Concei and the mountains of Adamello. The last part of the path is in the sun and a little bit steep.
After lunch, close to a small chapel built in the trenches of the Great War, we come back along Val di Lomar.

We walk downhill towards Riva del Garda, first along the mule track that dates back to the Middle Age and led to the old harbor of Ponale on Lake Garda, then along the superb Ponale Road, built in 1851 according to the project of Giacomo Cis and carved in the rocky walls perpendicularly the Lake.

We get organized to go up by car to the parking below Malga Trat. We start our walk and take the path called “senter de le vache” and go up to Bocca Saval, where we continue, passing along trenches of the First World War, to the top of Cima Parì. The view opens beyond the lake and mountains of Ledro, until Lake Garda and the Dolomites. Following a stretch of the “Sentiero della Pace”, we get to the Rif. Pernici nearby Bocca Trat.

HIKING PROGRAM - ALONG TORRENT MASSANGLA
Along the torrent Massangla, we go first to the old water mill and to the hidden gorge Gorg d'Abiss with waterfall. Back to the village, we take the cycle path to the small church of Santa Lucia in Pratis (14th century), which has been completely restored in 1998 and where interesting frescoes have been discovered. We walk to the village and visit the church tower of Tiarno di Sotto, the second highest in Trentino.

HIKING PROGRAM - To Lake Garda
From the parking space we take the path, that through the wood leads to Passo di Le, above Pregasina , from where we enjoy the first view over Lake Garda. We continue toward Malga Palaer, where we stop for lunch and go to the most beautiful panoramic view point over Limone, Punta Larici. We walk back to Pregasina, keep admiring Lake Garda.
