| B - Old roads to Lake Garda (Fiasp 15 km) | |
![]() Meeting point: at the parking place short before the tunnel to Pregasina, at 9:00 a.m. Lasting time: about 3.30 hours. Difference in level: 300 m. We walk downhill towards East, along the mule track that dates back to the Middle Age and led to the harbor of Ponale on Lake Garda. We can observe a calchèra (oven for the lime production) and enjoy the magnificent view over the rocky walls perpendicularly the lake and the road carved in them, built in 1851 according to the project of Giacomo Cis. Following the last part of this historical road, which presents in many points ruins of the fortifications of the First World War, we reach Riva del Garda and go the same way back to the starting point. |
