THE SECRETS OF THE FOREST 2008
"The secrets of the forest" is an initiative, that allows You to discover the nature of Trentino and its treasures.
Three weeks to know better herbs and mushrooms! A botanist or a mycologist will show You during a couple of easy walks the herbs or the mushrooms, that a cook will use to prepare delicious dishes.
HERB WEEKS: 12-18 of May and 9-15 of June 2008
Monday: at 20.30, Welcome evening at the Tourist Information Office Valle di Ledro in Pieve di Ledro;
Tuesday: at 9.00, Through Val Concei, meeting point in front of the church in Lenzumo; Lasting time: 3 hours; no relevant difference in level; walk through the meadows and the woods of Val Concei.
Thursday: at 9.00, Walk to discover the history and the nature of Valle di Ledro
Friday: at 15.30, The herbs and the cuisine, meeting point: at the Park Don Renzo close to the little church of S.Lucia
Saturday: at 9.00, Discovering Tremalzo, meeting point in Tremalzo at the parking place of Rifugio Garibaldi; Lasting time: 3 hours; Difference in level: 200m; walk on the alpine pastures of Tremalzo to discover herbs and endemic flowers.
MUSHROOM WEEK: 15-21 of September 2008
Monday: at 20.30, Welcome evening at the Tourist Information Office Valle di Ledro in Pieve di Ledro;

Thursday: at 9.00, The ornithological post of Bocca Casèt, meeting point in Tremalzo, at the parking place of Rifugio Garibaldi; Lasting time: 3 hours; Difference in level: 200m; short walk toward Bocca Caset, where the experts of the Natural Science Museum of Trento catch the birds to ring and study them.
Friday: at 15.30, The mushrooms and the cuisine, meeting point: at the Park Don Renzo close to the little church of S.Lucia
Saturday: at 9.00, Discovering Tremalzo, meeting point in Tremalzo at the parking place of Rifugio Garibaldi; lasting time: 3 hours; difference in level: 200m; walk on the alpine pastures of Tremalzo to learn the mushrooms and their habitat.
