 Situated in the very green and westernmost part of the Valle di Ledro, Tiarno di Sopra is just seven Km. far from Lake Ledro. It is a tourist centre expecially during the summer.
Archeological discoveries prove that there was life in this area during the Roman Age and also before.
A short distance from the village is the protected Lake Ampola biotope where you can see a variety of aquatic and marsh plants. Many excursions can also be made to areas where the environment remains unspoilt. The Passo Tremalzo offers interesting itineraries for mountain bikers and for trekking-lovers. In winter you can practise downhill skiing and cross-crountry skiing.
